Professional Summary
From PHP programmer to technology leader
I started writing PHP in 2005 and have spent the last two decades building, leading, and shipping web software at every scale — from solo freelance projects to enterprise e-commerce platforms handling thousands of transactions.
In 2007 I founded Gratta Web Design Studio, where over 14 years I delivered 300+ websites and applications for clients across Europe, the UAE, and the CIS region. That experience taught me everything about running projects end-to-end: client communication, technical architecture, hiring, and shipping under real-world constraints.
Since 2021 I've worked as a senior engineer and technical lead at product companies and agencies including NitroPack (performance), Spiral Scout (agency), and AWTG Ltd (e-commerce gamification) — as well as running my own consultancy Gratta Studio.
Today I'm Lead WordPress Developer at Digital Trends Media Group, responsible for the architecture and delivery of high-traffic enterprise WordPress platforms on WordPress VIP / Altis — custom plugins, APIs and full-stack features in PHP, React and TypeScript, with a focus on performance, scalability and AI-powered integrations.
Since 2023 I hold the title of Certified Codeable Expert Developer — placing me among the top 2% of vetted WordPress freelancers on the platform.
Lately a large part of my work is AI-assisted engineering:
setting up Claude Code for teams with tailored CLAUDE.md files and custom skills, building
MCP servers that connect AI agents to WordPress and internal APIs, and integrating LLM APIs into
plugins and editorial tooling.
I hold a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical University of Ukraine (KPI), which shapes how I approach complex engineering problems: systematically, with attention to edge cases and underlying structure.
I'm based in Valencia, Spain and work remotely with clients worldwide. I speak English (full professional), Ukrainian and Russian (native), and Spanish (B1).
